Mariana Pargendler is Professor of Law at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) Law School in São Paulo, and Global Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. Formerly, she has taught as a Visiting Professor at Stanford Law School and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. Prior to joining academia, she was a research fellow at the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management and a corporate associate at the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. She holds LL.M. and JSD degrees from Yale Law School and LL.B. and PhD degrees from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). Her research focuses on corporate law and governance, contract law, and comparative law.
