Biography

Zacharias Sautner is Professor of Sustainable Finance at University of Zurich and holds a Senior Chair at the Swiss Finance Institute. He was previously Professor of Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Amsterdam and, prior to that, Research Fellow at the SaĂŻd Business School of the University of Oxford. Zacharias Sautner does research in the area of corporate finance, especially on corporate governance, executive compensation, and bankruptcy. His research was published in leading international journals such as the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, or Review of Finance and has been presented at leading international conferences such as the AFA, WFA, and EFA. His expertise is frequently cited in newspapers such as Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times or Die Zeit. Zacharias Sautner holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Mannheim.
