Mr Snorre Gjerde
Biography
Snorre Gjerde is Policy Lead at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. He engages with financial regulators, standard-setters and international organisations to foster well-functioning markets, robust corporate governance and sustainable business practices that support the fund's long-term return. He represents NBIM in key international forums and working groups, and has authored several of the fund's policy papers, including on shareholder rights, corporate sustainability reporting and shareholder proposals. He also led the development of NBIM's inaugural TNFD-aligned disclosures on financially material nature risk. Snorreās background spans sell-side and buy-side equity research, risk management, and investment stewardship across London, Singapore and Oslo.
Snorre holds an MBA with Distinction from London Business School and a double Master's degree in Financial Economics and International Management (CEMS) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) with studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
