Biography

Maribel Sáez Lacave is Professor of Corporate and Business Law (Profesora Titular) at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her research interests include corporate law and law and economics. She received a postdoctoral fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to visit Marburg University and Bonn University (2004-2005). She has been visiting scholar at Harvard Law School (2017) and Columbia University (2012) and visiting professor of law at the Radzyner School of Law in the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (2013, 2019). Her work is regularly presented at prestigious conferences including the American Law and Economics Association and the European Law and Economics Association. She has published in prestigious international law and finance journals such as Journal of Law, Finance and Accounting, Corporate Governance: An International Review and the Journal of Corporate Legal Studies

Current Projects

I am writing a book on activism (spanish), a paper on corporate groups (with Maria Gutierrez), and a book chapter on inspection rights
