Stevens Institute of Technology School of Business in Hoboken, New Jersey, in partnership with ECGI, held the 6th Annual RCF-ECGI Corporate Finance and Governance Conference. The conference was hybrid, held at School of Business, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, USA and virtually, on 13 and 14 December 2025. The conference had three tracks (A), (B), and (C) over the two days. 

The cash prizes for best paper and best discussant awards are generously sponsored by the Institute for Humane Studies, with official plaques provided by the British Academy of Management through the Corporate Governance Special Interest Group.

 

The Best Paper Award was awarded to: 


Manuel Kathan (University of Augsburg), Raphaela Roeder (University of Augsburg), Sebastian Utz (University of Augsburg) and Martin Nerlinger (University of St.Gallen) for their paper: "How Does Competition Affect Firms’ Carbon Performance? Firm-Level Evidence from Tariff Cuts"

 

Melissa Crumling, Drexel University for her paper: "Breaking Network Barriers in the Era of Data-Driven Venture Capitalists"

 

 

The keynote speaker, David Yermack, presented on Saturday, 13 December at 17:00-18:00 EST.

The Conference Dinner was on Saturday, 13 December 2025 at the Stevens Institute of Technology School of Business

World-Wide Airport Connections:  Worldwide airport connections: 25 min drive: Newark International Airport to Stevens Institute of Technology.

Conference Fees: In person: $400 in person (for conference dinner, lunches, and coffee breaks), $50 online option (for administrative / tech support)

Hotel Options: There are numerous reasonably priced hotel options in nearby neighborhoods.  Hoboken is on the Hudson River across from Manhattan, connected by the PATH Subway.

Review of Corporate Finance Award Announcement:
The $1000 Award for the best paper published in the Review of Corporate Finance (RCF) (Volume 5 Issues 1-4, 2025) was announced at the conference. 

Conference Awards: 
There was 2 best paper ($300 each) and 2 best discussant ($200 each) awards, consistent with the 5 prior Boca Conferences. The awards were generously sponsored by the Institute for Humane Studies.  Plaques were provided by the British Academy of Management Corporate Governance Special Interest Group.
