Mr Hagen Schweinitz

Hagen Schweinitz is the founder and Chairman of Charvet & Cie., a specialized board advisory firm focusing on the recruitment and evaluation of Non-Executive Board Directors and C-Level Executives across all industry sectors. Before founding Charvet & Cie., he led the global board and governance advisory practice of Eric Salmon & Partners and was a Senior Partner at Korn Ferry. He started his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He is a member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and has published whitepapers on boards and Blockchain, non-executive directors in technology companies, and corporate governance in Iran.

Hagen serves on the board of the Armenian Institute of Directors (AIOD) in Yerevan, Armenia, and is the Chair of the Advisory Board of European Women on Boards (EWOB) and a member of the Advisory Board of Women on Boards Albania. He also serves as President of the regional Oxford Business Alumni chapter.

He is a frequent moderator and lecturer on board education programmes such as INSEAD’s Aspiring Directors Program, ecoDA’s European Board Diploma, INSEAD’s IN-BOARD, and others.

Hagen was educated at the University of Oxford, where he earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from Saïd Business School and took part in the High Performance Leadership Program (HPLP); and at INSEAD, where he completed the International Directors Program (IDP-C) and holds the Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance.

He speaks English, German, and Farsi.
