The 2025 Asian Corporate Law Forum (ACLF), co-hosted by ECGI and held at Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Law in Bangkok on March 25–26, brought together leading scholars from across Asia to discuss cutting-edge research on corporate law and governance.

The first session, moderated by Kon Sik Kim, featured a presentation by Hidefusa Iida (University of Tokyo) on “Beyond Anglo-Saxon Models: Japan’s Unique Approach to M&A and Its Impact on Shareholder Activism and Sustainability.” The session concluded with a discussion led by Zhou Chun (Zhejiang University).
