Biography

Urs Lendermann is professor for European Banking and Business Law at the Deutsche Bundesbank University of Applied Sciences. Prior to this, he worked as a senior specialist in banking regulation at Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. There, his work primarily involved the regulation of systemically important banks and the integration of international standards into the Swiss legal system, including Basel III and FSB Key Attributes of Effective Resolution Regimes. Urs is a certified German lawyer and holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Zürich. His scholarly pursuits mainly revolve around the areas of financial stability, capital markets and banking regulation.
