Biography

Dr. Aggarwal has held various positions including Interim Dean and Deputy Dean of Georgetown's McDonough School of Business; Distinguished Scholar at the Reserve Bank of India’s CAFRAL; Visiting Professor of Finance at MIT's Sloan School; FINRA Academic Fellow; Academic Fellow at the U.S. SEC; Visiting Research Scholar at the IMF; Fulbright Scholar to Brazil; and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Financing and Capital.



She specializes in corporate governance, institutional investors, global financial markets, market regulation, investment banking, initial public offerings and private equity. She is a prolific scholar and has received several research awards including the 2015 BlackRock-National Association of Corporate Directors Global Challenge for Innovation in Corporate Governance Award. She has been named among ""Outstanding Faculty"" in the Business Week Guide to the Best Business Schools and has been voted an outstanding professor by Executive MBAs.



She serves on the Board of Cohen and Steers, FBR & Co., IndexIQ, Brightwood Capital, and REAN Cloud. Her research and analysis is regularly cited in Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, and CNBC, among others. She received a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Maryland and M.M.S. from BITS, India.
