The Institute of Directors of Chile (IdDC)
Institutional Member
Founded in 2012 as a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening excellence in board performance and promoting best practices in corporate governance, IdDC emerged to address a critical need within the Chilean business environment: a premier platform for training, academic reflection, and high-level networking for directors, executives, and professionals committed to ethical, transparent, and strategic management.
Since its inception, IdDC has driven rigorous training programs, applied research, and content development on evolving governance trends. In doing so, it has built a robust community of non-executive directors united by a shared commitment to elevating stewardship standards in the organizations they lead. We have designed a comprehensive learning pathway to support executives and board members at every stage of their professional journey—from acquiring foundational knowledge to exercising high-impact leadership in the boardroom.
In a complex, interconnected, and rapidly evolving global landscape, the role of the director is paramount for long-term value creation and organizational resilience. To meet these challenges, IdDC champions the Holistic Director Model, a comprehensive competency framework designed to equip leaders with the strategic tools and insights required to navigate modern complexities responsibly.
With an alumni network of more than 1,500 directors across Chile and Latin America, IdDC stands as a leading voice on corporate governance in the region, actively promoting board diversity, responsible leadership, and the adoption of practices that foster sustainable growth and transparent markets.
