This conference seeks to bring together leading scholars, regulators, policymakers and market participants from several regions, including Asia, Europe, Australia and the United States, with the purpose of examining the major transformations reshaping global capital markets. It will explore the rise of private markets, the decline of IPOs in many advanced economies, and recent reforms and regulatory developments transforming capital markets in Asia, which is now home to around 55% of the world’s listed companies. The conference will also examine the role of institutional investors and stewardship codes in corporate governance and capital markets, the challenges and functions of financial market infrastructures, and the impact of financial technology on the efficiency and development of capital markets. By combining global and Asian perspectives, the conference aims to identify pathways toward more resilient, efficient and inclusive capital markets that support innovation and long-term economic growth.
