Biography

Alessandro holds a LLB from Luiss University of Rome, a LLM in Capital Market Law from London School of Economics, a PhD in Banking Law from University of Siena, and a Post Doc in Corporate Law from University of California Berkeley. Currently, he is Professor of Corporate Law at the University of Pisa. Previously, he had appointments from University of Siena, University College London, and King’s College London. He carries out research and teaching activities in areas of Corporate Law and Governance, Corporate Insolvency Law, Competition Law, and Banking and Financial Markets Regulation. He is the author of 3 books and more than 100 articles in journals and edited books. He is member of editorial committees and ministerial commissions, and he is affiliated with several international academic societies. He is admitted to the Bar and to the Supreme Court of Italy and he is a member of boards of directors of companies and non-profit organizations, and a member of insolvency proceedings bodies and arbitration panels.
