Mr. Jeffrey Timothy Buerke

Jeffrey Buerke is a doctoral candidate and research assistant at EBS University for Business and Law, where he works at the Chair of Professor Dr. Michael Nietsch. He completed his First State Examination in law and holds a parallel degree in business studies. His dissertation examines the management board‘s duty of care in cybersecurity governance, comparing the direct statutory obligations that German law now imposes under the revised BSI Act with the approach of U.S. law. Alongside his research, he teaches courses across core areas of private law and has published on recent civil case law.
