Mrs Jessica Ground

Jessica has been Global Head of ESG at Capital Group since 2020. She is responsible for setting and executing ESG strategy with a focus on integration in the investment process and building investment products. She also works with regulators, clients and other stakeholders on ESG issues. 

Previously Jessica spent 23 years at Schroders, where led the firm’s ESG efforts. She joined Schroders in 1997 as a Graduate Trainee and had a successful career as an Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager until 2018. 

Jessica has held a number of industry leadership positions, and currently she is Vice Chair and Code Committee Member at the Takeover Panel. She was formerly Chair of The Investment Association’s Stewardship Committee, a Board Member of the Investor Forum and a member of the IASB’s Investor Advisory Group. 

Jessica also serves on the Investment Committee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity Trust and supports various mentorship programs. 

Jessica holds a BA in History from Bristol University and is an associate member of the CFA UK.
