Mr. Moritz Jim Tilgner

Moritz Jim Tilgner is a PhD Researcher in Law & Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research lies at the intersection of corporate law, law and economics, entrepreneurship, and venture capital, with a particular focus on the regulation of employee equity-based compensation and comparative entrepreneurship policy. His work combines comparative legal research, utility modeling, and empirical methods, including experimental economics, to examine how legal frameworks shape incentives for startups and highly skilled workers, corporate governance, and innovation. As part of the European Doctorate in Law & Economics program, he spent one semester each at the Department of Economics of the University of Bologna and the Institute of Law and Economics at the University of Hamburg. He has presented his research at international conferences.
