Mr. Peyten Maxwell Sharp

Biography
Peyten Maxwell Sharp is a Visiting Researcher at the Human Rights Center, U.C. Berkeley School of Law. Peyten's research concentrates on corporate governance and international human and environmental rights. His current projects focus specifically on disaster preparedness, resource management, and shareholder activism.
Peyten holds a J.D. from Berkeley Law. During law school, he served on the boards of several academic journals, founded a LGBTQ+ advocacy clinic, and spent his summers working as a summer associate at a major U.S. law firm. Peyten also holds a B.A. from Harvard College.
Current Projects
His current projects focus on resource management, climate transition plans, and shareholder activism in the manufacturing, bottling, and data center industries. In addition to his corporate governance work, he is developing a litigation strategy in Latin America and addressing several LGBTQ+ issues in the United States.
Research Interests
Peyten's research concentrates on corporate governance, corporate capture, and human and environmental rights—primarily in the North American and European contexts.
