Biography

I am Senior Lecturer in Accounting in the University of Strathclyde. Before joining the department of Accounting and Finance at Strathclyde Business School, I was teaching accounting at the University of Limerick .

I have experience in teaching accounting (financial and managerial accounting) or finance courses at UG, MSc or MBA level and have invariably received excellent feedback on my engaging and practice-oriented teaching.

My research interests lie in the intersection of empirical corporate finance and accounting and include the performance of initial public offerings, executive compensation, political risk, earnings quality, and audit risk. My research work has been presented at leading international conferences such as the European Accounting Association (EAA), the European Financial Management Association and professional organizations' and practitioners' workshops.

Currently, I am working on the role of personal tax incentives and intangible capital on corporations.
