Biography
Peter is the Global Policy Director at ICGN. He joined us from ICAEW, one the world’s leading professional bodies where he served as Director of Corporate Governance & Stewardship, leading policy and thought leadership for chartered accountants who sit on or advice boards. Peter serves on the global board of Transparency International, the global anti-corruption NGO and on the Supervisory Council of ACAPS, the data and insights NGO supporting efficient and effective humanitarian aid.
Prior to ICAEW, he held senior ethics and compliance roles with multinational companies headquartered in the Netherlands, France and Japan. Earlier in his career, Peter established and led the Business Integrity Programme at Transparency International UK and worked in corporate strategy and management consulting for organisations including Stanford Research Institute (SRI), Accenture, Bertelsmann and Shell.
Peter has postgraduate degrees in Corporate Governance & Business Ethics and in Economics, both from the University of London and a bachelor’s in Economics from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
