Biography
Carlos Paredes joined Uría Menéndez in 1995 and is a partner since January 2005. He is currently working in the Madrid office.
Between 1999 and 2000 he was stationed at the offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
He managed the Peru office of Uría Menéndez in 2001 and 2002, with which he gained first-hand experience in Latin America.
His professional practice has focused on the commercial and corporate areas, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities and banking, and includes, among others, the following aspects:
- Advice on mergers and acquisitions of both private and listed companies.
- Joint ventures and corporate restructurings in Spain and Latin America.
- Regular advice to financial entities.
- Regular advice to listed companies.
- Regular advice to venture capital entities.
- Advice on capital and debt issues.
