Global Corporate Governance Colloquium (GCGC) 2023 — Seoul

The ninth annual Global Corporate Governance Colloquium (GCGC) was hosted by Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea, on 16–17 June 2023.

The conference examined how governance mechanisms respond to contemporary pressures: the hardening of ESG from voluntary principle into binding regulation, the influence of index membership on gender diversity, the evolution of poison pills into anti-activist devices, the governance of supply chain risk, and the competing effects of common ownership on innovation. Panel discussions addressed pension fund stewardship and shareholder activism in Asia.
