Asian Corporate Law Forum (ACLF) 2024 — Singapore

The inaugural Asian Corporate Law Forum, hosted by Singapore Management University. Papers addressed ESG and directors' duties and the limits of the business judgment rule, comparative corporate governance in Japanese listed family firms, transnational sustainable finance and ESG materiality in East Asia, director disqualification in Taiwan, the shareholder appraisal remedy in China, hostile takeover regulation in Japan, the abolition of independent directors in Indonesia, corporate insolvency law and employees of distressed companies, and finfluencers and tech disruption.

Part of the Asian Corporate Law Forum (ACLF), established in 2023 to advance scholarship on corporate law and governance in Asia, held in collaboration with ECGI.
