In this episode, CII General Counsel Jeff Mahoney interviews Professor Usha R. Rodrigues from the University of Georgia Law School. Professor Rodrigues is the co-author of a 2011 research paper on special purpose acquisition companies or SPACs, is currently conducting ongoing, active research into SPACs and in May testified before U.S. Congress at a hearing entitled “Going Public: SPACs, Direct Listings, Public Offerings, and the Need for Investor Protections.”
