Ms. Xiao Ma

Xiao Ma is an SJD candidate at Harvard Law School, supervised by Professors Mark Roe (principal supervisor), Mark Wu, and Reinier Kraakman. Her research examines bankruptcy, corporate governance, and the political economy of China.

She is admitted to practice law in New York and China and previously worked as a litigation and restructuring attorney at Fangda Partners (Shanghai) and Kirkland & Ellis (Hong Kong). Xiao holds advanced law degrees from Harvard (LLM) and Oxford (MJur) and was a Visiting Fellow with the East Asian Legal Studies Program at Harvard Law School.

She also serves as an editor of the Harvard Law School Bankruptcy Roundtable and mentors students in moot court and other academic activities.
