Mrs. Nada Nahia Naufal
Biography
Nada Naufal is a strategy, governance, and sustainability leader with extensive cross-sector experience spanning business, higher education, international development, and the nonprofit sector. Her work spans governance, sustainability, responsible leadership, and institutional transformation across the MENA region.
She is Director of the Rami F. Makhzoumi Corporate Governance Initiative at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business, American University of Beirut, where she leads the Initiative’s strategic direction, growth, partnerships, and external engagement. Through the Initiative, her work focuses on corporate and institutional governance, responsible leadership, institutional effectiveness, sustainability, and strategic transformation.
Nada designs and delivers executive education programs, policy dialogues, and multi-stakeholder initiatives that bring together senior executives, regulators, family enterprises, investors, academics, public-sector representatives, and civil society leaders. She develops regional partnerships and applied learning platforms that connect governance and sustainability priorities with organizational strategy and practice. She has also contributed to advancing sustainability and ESG integration in business education through curriculum development, teaching, experiential learning, and partnerships connecting students with organizations and real-world sustainability challenges.
Nada serves on the Steering Committee of the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Middle East Chapter and as a Technical Committee Member of the Good Governance Academy’s ESG Exchange. Through these roles and her broader work, she contributes to regional and international thinking and practice on corporate governance, sustainability, family enterprise, and responsible leadership through research, writing and convening.
