
Biography
Having earned a law degree and having passed the bar exam, he started working at Enel S.p.A. in 1996, where from 2000 he has held different managerial positions within the Department of Corporate Affairs, having finally being appointed in 2014 as head of the same Department.
Since 2023 is a member of the Oversight Committee in charge of monitoring the compliance by signatories’ proxy advisors with “Best Practice Principles for Providers of Shareholder Voting Research and Analysis”, verifying furthermore the permanent suitability of such Principles.
Since 2018 he is a member on behalf of Confindustria of the Corporate Governance Committee at BIAC, an institution that gathers and represents the industrialists’ interest within the OECD.
From 2018 until 2021 he was a member of the User Committee of Monte Titoli S.p.A., an institution representing interests of issuers and participants in the securities settlement system managed by Monte Titoli.
From 2014 until 2016 he was lecturer of comparative corporate governance within the course of advanced commercial law at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
Member of the Policy Committee of EuropeanIssuers since 2013.
From 2005 until 2006 – and again at the beginning of 2010 – he was a member of the working group set up to assist the Italian Corporate Governance Committee in updating the Italian Corporate Governance Code of listed companies.
Author of some articles regarding company law, corporate governance and capital markets published in professional journals and newspapers, he has been a speaker at many conferences on the same topics.
