Prof. Egor Matveyev
Biography
Egor Matveyev is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he also serves as Executive Director of the MicroMasters Program in Finance. His research spans corporate finance, corporate governance, and nonprofit finance. His work examines corporate director labor markets; the effects of CEOs and management teams on firm value and performance; nonprofit financing; and the role of endowments in nonprofit performance.
At MIT Sloan, Matveyev teaches a popular MBA elective on mergers, acquisitions, and private equity and contributes to the school’s executive education programs. Before joining MIT, he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Alberta. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Rochester.
