Professor Arturo Capasso
Biography
Aruro Capasso gained a B.A. in Economics at the Università di Napoli in 1984, a Master's in Business Administration at Columbia University, New York, in 1988 and a PhD in Corporate Finance at the Università di Bergamo and Università Cattolica Milano in 1990. In 1990, he became an Adjunct Professor at Università Parthenope Napoli, and in 1994, an Assistant Professor at Università di Napoli Federico II. In 1998, he became an Associate Professor at Università di Salerno, and he has been a Full Professor at Università del Sannio since 2002. Presently, he is Professor of Corporate Governance and Director of the Master In Healthcare Management and Clinical Governance at the Univeristà del Sannio. He is also Professor of Business Valuation at the Master in Economic and Finance (MEF) at the Università di Napoli Federico II and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital at Luiss University in Rome. His chief research interests lie in corporate strategy, corporate governance, finance, project finance, shipping finance, venture capital, and private equity. He was a panellist or track organiser in several editions of the AOM Conference and the EURAM Conference. Sits on the editorial board of “Journal of Management and Governance” and acts as a referee for many international journals. He is an active consultant for many companies and institutions in Italy and abroad. From 2006 to 2023 sat on the board of directors of Vertis SGR (Private Equity and Venture Capital Fund Management). Acted as Director or Auditor in several companies and financial institutions.
