The ECGI Blog Team
The ECGI Blog operates with the generous support of a number of volunteers from the ECGI network. There are two Editors-in-Chief, from the law and finance fields, who provide editorial guidance and direction to the Blog team.
Dan Puchniak and Wei Jiang are the ECGI Editors-in-Chief (EIC).
Dan is Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law and an ECGI Research Member. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the field of comparative corporate law and governance in Asia, having received numerous domestic and international awards for his academic research and teaching. He sits on the editorial boards of several leading Asian and comparative law journals. His research has pioneered the emerging field of intra-Asian comparative corporate law and governance.
Wei is Arthur F. Burns Professor of Free and Competitive Enterprise in the Finance Division at Columbia Business School. She is also a Scholar-in-Residence at Columbia Law School, a Senior Fellow at the Program on Corporate Governance at Harvard Law School, and a Research Associate of the NBER—Law and Economics. She is a leading scholar in corporate governance; in particular, she pioneered research in hedge fund activism. She has published extensively in top economics, finance, and law journals, her research has frequently featured in mainstream media and she has received numerous awards for research excellence. She is an associate editor at the Journal of Finance and served on the editorial boards of Review of Financial Studies. Previously she was a Finance Department Editor at Management Science.
There are two Associate Editors from the law and finance fields, who adjudicate on submissions to the ECGI Blog.
Philipp Krüger and Dionysia Katelouzou are Associate Editors (AE)
Philipp is Associate Professor of Responsible Finance at the University of Geneva and holds a Senior Chair at the Swiss Finance Institute. He has received numerous awards for his research which is in the fields of corporate, sustainable, and behavioral finance. He serves on the board of experts for Inrate AG (Zurich) and acts as an academic advisor on sustainable investing to a major Swiss bank.
Dionysia is a Reader in Corporate Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, specialising in the areas of investor stewardship, comparative and transnational corporate governance, and financial market regulation, with a particular interest in the corporate governance role of institutional investors, shareholder activism and empirical legal studies.
There is an Editorial Board which advises and guides the Blog Team, reviewing standards, discussing trends, and identifying articles for the Blog. The members of the Editorial Board are listed below.
There is an Advisory Board which provides input and guidance from a range of non-academic members. The members of the Advisory Board are listed below.
In addition, there are a number of academic Advisors who do not meet with the Editorial Board but provide expertise and counsel to the Blog Team as required. These Advisors are listed below.
There is a Blog Manager who coordinates operational matters relating to the Blog and facilitates a smooth publication process.
