Biography

Stefano Lombardo was born in Italy in 1970. He is Associate Professor of Economic Law at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Free University of Bolzano/Bozen (Assistant Professor at the same Faculty October 2004- December 2014).


From October. 2003 to September 2004 he was Professore a Contracto of Economic Law at the School of Economic and Management at the same University).


Education


April 2002-Sept. 2003: Stefano was a postdoc researcher at the interdisciplinary DFG Graduate College for Law and Economics Institute for Law and Economics, School of Law,University of Hamburg and Max Planck Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Privatrecht, Hamburg, Germany. Sept.2002- Sept. 2003: he was invited by Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Klaus Hopt to be Visiting Fellow at the Max Planck Institut für Ausländisches und InternationalePrivatrecht. Oct. 1998- Apr 2002: he undertook his Ph.D. in the Economic Analysis of Law (Dr. Rer. Pol) at the interdisciplinary DFG Graduate College for Law and Economics, Institute for Law and Economics, School of Law, University of Hamburg and Max Planck Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Privatrecht, Hamburg, Germany - DFG Scholarship. Sep. 2000- June 2001: he was invited by Professor Roberta Romano to be a visiting Scholar at Yale Law School, Yale University, New Haven, USA.


Stefano’s native language is Italian. He also speaks fluent English and German and basic French.
