Biography

Patrick C. Leyens is professor of civil law, corporate and commercial law at the University of Bremen, and hon. professor of law & economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.



Patrick's principal research interests concern corporate, commercial, and capital market law. He is a member of the Schmalenbach Society’s expert commission on corporate governance reporting. Earlier he served as an advisor for the German Federal Ministry of Finance and for the German Federal Parliament on the reform of investor and depositor protection. He also served as a co-director of the EDLE, one of the largest doctoral programs in law & economics.
